Join us at Haines Park in New Lenox, Illinois on August 11, 2024 for our Annual Worship in the Park Service and Picnic. Our worship service will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by a great picnic lunch. Be sure to stick around after lunch because we'll be having our annual bean bag tournament.
Haines Park is a wonderful, family-friendly park. Feel free to bring gear to play volleyball or frisbee golf. There is a playground for the little ones and lots of open space for running around. WHAT TO EXPECT
Worship Service at 10:30 a.m.
During this time we will have a simplified version of our Sunday Worship Service. We'll enjoy God's creation while we sing praise and listen to a special sermon from our Senior Pastor, Frank Volpe.
Picnic Lunch at 12:00 p.m.
Once lunch is ready, everyone will be invited to help themselves to hamburgers, cheese burgers, and hot dogs as well as side dishes and desserts that are provided by Parker Road attendees. We always have more then enough food, so dig in and plan on getting seconds.
Things to do at Haines Wayside Park:

Burgers, hot dogs, and the fixings will be provided by Parker Road Bible Church. Those who are Parker Road regular attendees, please bring a dish to share at this event.

BEAN BAG TOSS GAME
Weather permitting, as part of our traditional picnic activities, we will be having our annual bean bag toss tournament. Teams of all ages are encouraged to play, so we will need plenty of bean bag sets to keep things flowing smoothly and quickly. Those who have a bean bag set, please plan to bring it or bring it to the church office prior to Sunday and we'll get it there.
PARKING
There are two parking lots close to Haines Wayside Park. One is a small parking lot that is attached directly to the park and a second parking lot is just across the street at Haines Elementary School. Please reserve the parking spaces that are closest to the park for seniors as well as families with small children and disabilities. If you are unloading items, feel free to park close to the park and once your vehicle is unloaded, please proceed to move your vehicle to the parking lot across the street at Haines Elementary School.
